Song's vibe is cheery and hopeful and the lyrics are about the inner dialogue of the drive, focus and taking the life by the horns. The overall message of the song is to live in the moment.
Recording and performing artist and a one man band Willjoy launches his fifth song ever made. Under a year in the music industry he is starting to leave a bigger and bigger footprint with each new song.

Willjoy was born in the late 80's so making his music is largely influenced by 80's sound world and bringing those elements to a modern age is his mission in music.

2021 Willjoy started building his first album focusing on the "Dark" side with four singles.
Now he releases the debut single from the "Light" side, making a proper feet stomper with deep reflecting lyrics.
The song ”Life Is Now” starts with a synthesizer and a pondering question which was heavily inspired by Bent's - Exercise. Gradually increasing intensity after the long intro and verse the first chorus begins the dance factor of the song. With ever changing momentum's through out the song the melody inspires hope and surprises the listener with a totally different ending chorus.
When writing the song Willjoy wanted to root the overall message to make people understand what inspiration feels like coming from the inside. "Living every day like it's your last" Is a worn out phrase and hardly accessible to majority of the people, and by going with "Life Is Now" is a reminder that we can't change the past and we don't know what the future holds for us.

The album will be two-sided with first side being "Dark" and the second is called "Light".
"Life Is Now" is the first single in the ”Light” side of the album.
Single will be launched October 7th 2021.

Viljo Parkkila (Willjoy) was born in December 19th, 1988, in a snow covered Pori, Finland.
His whole life have been surrounded with good music since Rock'n roll was super important to his father and he listened music a LOT! When he was young he sang a lot and recorded his own voice on top of his brothers C-cassette's, never lacking in resourcefulness he made his own drum kit from kettles, pans and garbage cans before he even attended school.

2020 was a big year to him music wise since he quit his day job to pursue his musical endeavours and his father passing away.
These events made him realize that life is too short to dwell on frivolous things and music helped him through a lot of pain, from that point he started making music for himself to deal with emotions within.
To his own surprise he fell in love to his own sound and decided that now (2021) is the time to share it to you all.
Willjoy's music is now what he lives and breathes putting all his passion in his work.

With embedded masculinity, combined with a thorough understanding of his own feminine side, he is not afraid to touch on even sensitive topics in his lyrics. His lyrics are versatile and touches subjects from inequality to wrestling with mental health, without forgetting the lighter side of life and the aspects and the power of positive thinking. Adapting his own views to his songs comes directly and deeply from his heart and life experiences.
In addition to making music Willjoy also makes most of his own jewelry by hand.
